What is Sex Therapy?

Sex therapy is a sub-specialty within the field of professional psychotherapy which encompasses the treatment of a broad range of topics associated with human sexuality.  Treatment sessions do not  involve touching in any way and focus on understanding and treating sexual dysfunction within the context of and respect for the client’s preferences, experiences, personal morals and ethics, as well as their religious and cultural beliefs.  Professional sex therapists and counselors adhere to ethical guidelines set forth by certifying, as well as state licensing boards in which they provide clinical services.

My professional experience providing sex therapy include, but is not limited to working with individuals and couples with erectile dysfunction; internet porn addiction; premature, delayed or inhibited ejaculation;  sexual trauma; questioning sexual orientation and non-traditional expression of human sexuality.  I am a  sex positive therapist and welcome clients of any gender, sexual orientation or relationship status.
